In April of the same year, Mr. Thomas Ayrton Stuttard, a prominent textiles businessman from Cheshire, stepped forward to claim ownership. Commissioning renowned coachbuilder Barker to craft a bespoke sports saloon body, Mr. Stuttard added his personal touch to the vehicle, imbuing it with both elegance and performance.
As World War II cast its shadow across Europe, the Bentley found refuge at Mr. Stuttard’s country home in Wales, sheltered from the tumult of war. With the dawn of peacetime in 1947, the car emerged from its slumber, ready to resume its journey on the open road. Mr. Stuttard’s custodianship endured for over a decade, until June of 1959, when he passed the baton to a banker in Lancashire, marking a transition of ownership that would shape the car’s trajectory for decades to come.

In 1976, it found its way into the possession of its third American owner, embarking on a new chapter in the land of opportunity. In August of 2001, the Bentley found its current custodians, marking the beginning of a new era in its journey. With reverence for its illustrious past, the owners embarked on a meticulous restoration project, guided by the wisdom and expertise of those who came before them. The son of the original owner and the second owner provided invaluable insights and photographs, breathing new life into the Bentley and restoring it to its original splendor.
