Cats are ruining Elon Musk Starlink company!

After spending at least $10 Billion on the project and sending more than 1,700 satellites to the space, “cats” are ruining Elon Musk’s satellite internet company, Starlink!

Why cats and other animals are interested in staying on the Starlink dish? What problems could this cause? And how will Elon be reacting to solve it?

The unexpected problem

SpaceX’s Starlink satellite broadband internet service customers have discovered an unexpected problem on New Year’s Eve: the satellites may be used as a cozy cat bed.

According to Futurism, this is a concerning phenomenon, as one Canadian Starlink user on Twitter noted that no less than five cats were resting on his dish!

Aaron Taylor, from Alberta and Saskatchewan, tweeted on Dec. 31, 2021, that “Starlink works great until the cats find out that the dish gives off a little heat on cold days.” More than 173,000 people have liked the cute photo of almost a half-dozen cats cuddled up on a snowy satellite so far.

Also, Nico Thirion replied to the tweet by saying: “Different species, same problem,” with a photo showing a bird standing over the dish.

Since SpaceX introduced the dish, it appears that cats have been fascinated by it. This problem was first introduced 11 months ago by a Reddit member that said, “I was checking my dish with a thermal sight, and it actually looks like the whole dish, even the backside, is warm. So you might (see) animals under or around it in general if it’s ground-mounted.”

Starlink dishes have a self-warming technology that helps warm up the dish in winter to melt accumulated snow on the dish. This is a great feature that will ensure that snow will not stay on your dish and causes internet connection loss. But animals find it a great place to get warmth in this cold weather!

Conclusion

Currently, Starlink serves over 140,000 users in 20 countries, and the company aims to expand into rural and distant areas where the internet is unstable or absent. The number of satellites in low Earth orbit is close to 2,000, and the corporation aims to launch 12,000 more.

If this problem is not solved as soon as possible, this might be disastrous for the company. Starlink is targeting places where the internet is unavailable or limited. Usually, these places experience extreme weather conditions.

Having a warm dish in the yard or on the roof will be an attractive place for different types of animals. Elon Musk needs to solve this problem that is interrupting his customer’s connection and putting him and his company’s name under pressure.

What do you think would be the best solution to this problem? And would you still choose to buy Starlink if you live in a cold town?
